Small Narrowbody & Large Regional Jet Market Report 2024

The full report can be downloaded from here.

TrueNoord’s new and fully updated overview of the small narrowbody and large regional jet market primarily covers the E190/E195-E2 and A220-100/300, as well as providing an analysis of the broader market.

Angus von Schoenberg, TrueNoord Industry Officer, explains, “As well as updating TrueNoord’s Crossover Jet Report (May 2021), this report provides a more complete overview of the 100-150 seat jet market by also including the E1 aircraft. From a definitional standpoint, all of these aircraft can be referred to as either large regional jets or small narrowbodies. Often the larger A220-300 in particular and sometimes the E195-E2 are deemed to be small narrowbodies while their respective smaller siblings, primarily the E190-E2, are often classed as regional jets. For a period when both first came to market the term “Crossover jet” was applied to these aircraft. In this report the A220 and E2 are collectively termed Small Narrowbodies and the E1s as Large Regional Jets.

In some cases, the economics of the Small Narrowbodies will also be compared to larger A320 or 737 aircraft to derive a more comprehensive view of their actual and potential position in the market.

The report will compare and contrast the Small Narrowbody and Large Regional Jet aircraft characteristics, applications, market penetration, and operating economics, as well as addressing the current dynamics in values of these aircraft which continue to see a variety of views from the appraisal community.

In addition, this report includes a revised comparative section on emissions for the applicable aircraft.”
